Donate to the Collection
The Nicollet County Historical Society’s collections include an archival manuscript collection, a museum collection of objects, a research library, and an education collection.
To donate physical or digital items, please tell us about the items you would like to donate by filling out the Donation Interest form. Please explain what the items are, their significance to local history, who used them, and when and where they were used. The Research Coordinator will get in touch with you if more information is needed.
Potential acquisitions will be assessed by the Collections Committee to ensure that donated materials support our Mission and can find a home here. All donors will be notified of the committee’s decision. For examples of items we typically accept and those we typically don’t, as well as more about the process for donation, see Donations FAQs.
Please note that NCHS reserves the right to dispose of any unsolicited items delivered to or dropped off at the Treaty Site.
When in doubt, don’t throw it out! Ask the Research Coordinator at 507-934-2160 or email@example.com.
