Nicollet County Historical Society Cancels Two “Dolls of the Dark” Dates, Keeps Halloween Program
ST. PETER, Minn. (October 23, 2025) — The Nicollet County Historical Society has announced a schedule change for its upcoming Halloween event, Dolls of the Dark, at the historic E. St. Julien Cox House in St. Peter.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the programs scheduled for Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, have been canceled. The event will proceed as planned on Friday, October 31, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
Dolls of the Dark is a self-guided evening experience featuring an atmospheric display of dolls from the Society’s collection, along with select items from private collectors. Visitors will explore the house by candlelight, follow scavenger hunt-style prompts, and vote for the favorite and creepiest doll of the night.
There are no jump scares or actors, just quiet halls, flickering shadows, and the unsettling feeling that someone-or something-is watching.
