Jessica was born and raised on a farm in rural Madelia, Minnesota. After graduating high school with honors, she attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, working toward a history degree. While there, Jessica was an avid music student and participated in History Club activities. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts (Magna Cum Laude) in History in 2009.

Jessica began her tenure at the Nicollet County Historical Society in May 2009 and has been an integral part of the NCHS team ever since. Starting as a part-time weekend employee, she eventually became the Site Manager for the Treaty Site History Center and Traverse des Sioux. Since December 2016, Jessica has been the Society’s Executive Director. Jessica has been and continues to be dedicated to preserving Nicollet County’s history and the stories of the people who have lived here. Her tenure with NCHS makes her a perfect fit for the Executive Director position.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys reading, connecting with family and friends, and cooking.
