For more than 100 years, Zion National Park has captured the hearts of visitors and artists alike with its grandeur, vibrance, and stunning scenery. Explore the history of Zion National Park from the early explorers and artists whose work inspired the park’s founding to its current status as a worldwide destination that draws more than 4 million visitors per year.

About this Film:
Zion National Park — a landscape formed over 150 million years by geologic uplift and erosion — stands today as a place of refuge and sanctuary, a glimpse into history through millennia. From its past as home to the Ancestral Puebloans and their descendants, the Southern Paiutes, to the more recent history of Mormon settlement and its current status as a National Park, Zion has inspired countless visitors to pass between its red sandstone walls.
